About Dr. Lee
Bio: Dr. Leo Lee (Leo) DOM, LAc, LMT
Dr. Jieying Zhang is a distinguished Chief Acupuncture Expert and TCM Consultant with a deep, research-driven specialization in Traditional Chinese Medicine for pediatric and gynecological health. Her expertise bridges centuries-old healing traditions with modern medical science to address conditions ranging from childhood tic disorders and insomnia to women’s health issues such as dysmenorrhea, uterine fibroids, and cancer therapy support.

Her clinical mastery is built upon over a decade of rigorous training and practice at the prestigious First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she advanced from Resident to Attending Physician. Dr. Zhang holds a Doctorate in Chinese Medicine and her research, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of acupuncture's anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, directly informs her compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

As an acknowledged leader in the field, Dr. Zhang holds directorial roles in the Sleep Branch and Tuina Branch of major Chinese medicine associations and serves on the editorial boards of international journals. Her prolific publication record includes significant studies on acupuncture for pediatric tic disorders, insomnia in hypertensive patients, and TCM approaches to gynecological cancers and chronic pain. Furthermore, her extensive work as a peer reviewer for top-tier journals highlights her authority in evaluating research on scalp acupuncture for children, TCM for dysmenorrhea, and integrative oncology.

Licensed in both China and the United States (Virginia), Dr. Zhang now brings her unique integrative perspective to ProCare Wellness, offering advanced TCM strategies that support the healthy development of children and the holistic well-being of women at all stages of life.
